Dr. John N. Brennan

Wednesday, May 5th - Leadership Day

In 1980, Dr. Brennan founded Interpersonal Development, Inc., a training and development firm with an international client roster. His firm specialized in custom designed sales training, executive coaching, team building, and communications training. The firm's clients have included corporate, government, education and not-for-profits. Among these are the Economist Group, Eastman Kodak, Gannett Newspapers, Livingston County, Merrill Lynch, Volvo Car Corp and numerous small businesses.

As founder and president of Interpersonal Development, Dr. Brennan’s training philosophy is based on his doctoral dissertation, which researched the effectiveness of a behavioral-humanistic hybrid model of developing interpersonal skills.

Interpersonal Development helps organizations experiencing product, market or cultural change win more business. Offering consulting services in sales, marketing and leadership development, Interpersonal Development’s customized process combines Behavioral Modeling Technology™ with an interactive climate that is supportive, nonjudgmental and engaging.

For the State Government of Victoria, and for a large newspaper chain, he developed and delivered week-long leadership development courses for middle managers and for senior executives.

Dr. Brennan has authored articles that were published in trade magazines, and has been a guest speaker at numerous national and regional professional conferences. He has also taught courses in organization behavior at Rochester Institute of Technology, and co-taught a course in consulting at the University of Rochester.
